WINTER (21/12-20/03)
A season of great importance to the Union des Producteurs
 
In the vineyard, this is the time of year for pruning and maintenance of the training wires and stakes. 
Pruning involves cutting off canes to enhance fruit production and define the basic shape of the vine. 
Furthermore, winter is the ideal time to replace any stakes and fix any wires that keep the vine and leaf canopy in place.
In the cellar, the 2009 vintage is ageing nicely and the cellar master is beginning to blend the various cuvées.
2008 Fronsac has finished barrel ageing and been bottled.
